Hey guys, STOP THE DRAMA - a list of thoughts.

danceanddestroy:

  • If you were waiting for like 12 hours or more even, most likely your expectations grew as the time went by, so when you didn’t get what you were expecting, you took it personally, when in reality it wasn’t that big of a deal..
  • Waiting at a premiere or any event to see your favourite actors/celebrities DOES NOT ENTITLES YOU to any kind of special treatment. You can wait all you want, you can camp for days, and still, the other person is IN NO OBLIGATION of ever acknowledging your existence.
  • The premiere was just that. A premiere. A promotional event. Not a fans event. Go to ComicCon if you want Tom to hear you, sign you stuff and be all lovely and focused on fans mostly.
  • As a promotional event, the focus was on the film as a product, a product the cast was there to sell even more. They do this with their very own presence and through photos and interviews for the media. Not by signing autographs or waving at fans. Sad, but true.
  • The premiere tour was not to please fans, but to promote the film.
  • Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark. You can NOT compare Tom’s attitude towards fans from YOUR perspective with that of Robert’s. PUH-LEASE.
  • There’s a fan video where Tom kneels down to sign something, and even plays for a second with a Mjolnir toy. HE DIDN’T HAVE TO. He was just asked to sign it, and he did the rest on his own. But that doesn’t count because those fans were near the front? Really…
  • Tom has proved over and over again he’s a sweetheart with his fans. He can have a bad day, busy day, or whatever. Some of his fans could at least have the consideration of letting some of that pass now and then.
  • He doesn’t HAVE to smile at you, or wave at you. He’s still human, as lovely as he is, so OUT OF RESPECT, how about we let the guy be instead of TAKING IT SO PERSONALLY??
  • THE ESCALATOR VIDEO as evidence is just terrible. Not everybody was paying attention to fans, just Robert Downey Jr. kept waving at them. The others were distracted, or talking to each other. TOM WAS BUSY HAVING A CONVERSATION WITH ANOTHER PERSON. In my experience, to cut a conversation to pay attention to someone else instead is plain rude. Tom isn’t rude, we all know that. We also all know that Tom talks a lot, no thing such as short sentences. But he has changed from the old good Tom we all knew because he was paying attention to the person next to him? HOW CRUEL OF HIM TO IGNORE YOU.
  • He has an agenda to go by, one he probably can’t decide himself, and i’m sorry for Luke’s recent fanbase, he’s cute and all but the guy does look pushy in events. Luke’s there to tell Tom “Ok, that’s enough, let’s get moving”, and you can see in his face how desperate he gets when Tom takes some extra minutes to keep talking, signing and taking pictures with the fans.
  • The guy tweeted to apologize for not being able to see everybody. HE DIDN’T HAVE TO. If he had really “changed”, he wouldn’t care anymore, and wouldn’t bother to make an apology to people he supposedly ignored.

I do understand the disappointment, BUT CALM YOUR TITS DOWN AND DEAL WITH IT.

Also, this is not to be taken personally, even if i mention a particular event, is just that i’ve seen things like this happen in other fandoms, and i just can’t stand it.
